EASY/HEALTHY Bank Holiday Brownies

I feel like Bank holiday can go one of two ways.  Either drinking yourself into oblivion or eating yourself into a food coma.  Whichever way you choose to go I fully support your decision and I hope you have the best time.

Seeing as alcohol and I rarely get along I thought I would do some much needed therapeutic baking, and most importantly eating.

These brownies are literally the easiest things you can make, whilst also being non processed, vegan, keto, paleo and all the other labels under the sun.

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 mugs ground almonds
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 4 heaped tablespoons cacao
  • 5 tablespoons almond butter
  • 5 tablespoons of agave syrup/sweetner
  • 1/2 mug almond milk

For the optional icing:

  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 2 tablespoons agave syrup
  • 1 tablespoon cacao
  • dash of almond milk

Method:

First mix the dry ingredients for the brownies.  That includes the almonds, baking powder and cacao.  Next in a bowl heat the almond butter, agave syrup and milk together in a microwave for 1 min until combined.

Mix the wet and dry together to form a lovely thick chocolatey batter. 

Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for 15-20 minutes.  Until a knife comes out clean of any batter. 

If you choose to make the icing just combine all ingredients together in a bowl and heat for 30 seconds so it becomes pourable.

After your brownie mixture has cooled pour the icing on top, allow time to set before cutting into brownies.
